Our world today has a lot to be desired. Just about everywhere one looks there is wickedness, lust for more, abuse of power, and abuse of life.
God does not like this and neither do the majority of His children. Yet even some of His are sitting on the fence or have one foot in the world and the other in the door of the church. So what are we to do?
Is it time to press in deeper into the heart and word of God, Pray for true direction, or build an ark?
Genesis 4 11-14 Amplified Bible Gateway
11 The earth was depraved and putrid in God’s sight, and the land was filled with violence (desecration, infringement, outrage, assault, and lust for power).
12 And God looked upon the world and saw how degenerate, debased, and vicious it was, for all humanity had corrupted their way upon the earth and LOST THEIR TRUE DIRECTION. (Emphasis mine).
13 God said to Noah, I intend to make an end of all flesh, for through men the land is filled with violence; and behold, I will destroy them and the land.
14 Make yourself an ark…
SO WHAT ARE WE CHRISTIANS SUPPOSED TO DO?
We follow God’s direction for life and do everything we can!
We press deeper into the heart for His answer to our questions.
We press into the Word for Scripture to align with what we hear from God, He will provide that evidence.
We pray like there is no one else on the face of the earth praying.
In doing this we are building an ARK, which is His protection around us, and for those who will enter with us.
Yet it cannot stop there.
We must ask God questions. Yes, I know some say NO WAY, you are to never question God.
There is a huge difference in questioning God and in asking Him questions!
We are God’s children and we are called to be in deep relationship with Him.
God is the very One who initiated this relationship!
In the natural we ask our parents questions, our children ask us questions, so what is the difference in our asking God, Who is our Father questions?
A RELIGIOUS MINDSET L…Instead of a relational mindset.
We all know that in a relationship there is an exchange of communication, ideas, love, and trust…
1. God, what’s happening here? Remember Moses asked God questions and even once said I’m not going up from here unless You go with me…
There was relational, God and Moses.
2. What are You going to do?
3. Do you want me to do anything?
4. Lord, I’m listening and waiting for Your command!
It is way to easy to do nothing and then blend in with everyone else. I don’t blend well, I never have and I never desire too.
I choose to be one who makes an impact in my world and not hide in a closet and pray. If I am labelled for this then honestly it will not be the first time and I know it will not be the last time.
When we have the heart, life, nature, strength, ability, and love of God in our being, we are supposed to be those who make a difference and impact our world, not turn a blind eye because of a world class system which is not God’s system.
There were a lot of Woe, Woe, and Woe’s in the Bible.
So for those who boldly and publicly say, “I am a Christian” and do nothing maybe its time to step up the mark and be the difference.
In one way or another I’m sure we all can find ways to step up the mark in this world that is desperately waiting for us to be the difference.
All creation is longing and waiting for us to Step Up
Romans 8:19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
God is not calling us to start a rebellion for that is what the world does, but He is calling us to stand for truth and do what we know in our hearts to be right as His children.
Now is the time for the unveiling and the revealing revelation of true Sonship to arise.
