Today I was really heavily burdened to pray for marriages. Young ones and old ones they are on God’s heart. I know that within any relationship there is always room for improvement, so I was obedient to the burden and began to pray forth God’s heart.
After a while I found myself decreeing purity and unity, mercy and grace, wholeness and love. Calling forth reconciliation and restoration. Declaring the plots, plans, and the snares of the enemy be fully uncovered. Calling fresh strength to arise within the husband and the wife. Calling God’s word to be established and to cover these marriages in purity, soundness and wholeness.
Moving on I came to Ephesians 6:10-18 and read it over the marriages and began to decree they are fully armed, empowered and strengthened by God’s word. Standing strong in the midst of doubt and confusion they know what to do and how to follow through with all that Holy Spirit speaks to them even in the midst of crisis.
Decreeing they are boldly proclaiming their marriage will be strong in the Lord and stand the test of time. That there will be no unfaithfulness in the marriage because the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes are submitted to the cross of Christ and His blood is cleansing the mind that wanders about and bringing alignment to mind, marriage and the whole person.
Proclaiming that each marriage is dressed in God’s full armor and they are ready for each days activities, because together they will continue on in overthrowing the destructive forces of the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life will be no more.
Pride has turned to praise for what the Lord is doing.
All lust has turned to pure passion, compassion and desire to follow after the heart of Christ and be Christ like in all situations; thereby these marriages are a godly example for others to follow. The husband learning how to love and protect the wife, and the wife learning how to honor and respect the husband.
Beloved please know and understand God has given us His word for each and every situation we encounter. He has not left us to fight for ourselves. He is our Mighty Warrior and the Godhead dwells within each one that belongs to Him. We have fullness in Him now for everything and every situation and circumstance that arises.
Now by His Amazing grace we step up and raise the barre-yes as in daily exercise. We raise the barre until it becomes a daily practice, and then a daily habit, and we do this until we learn to live and move and have our being in Him in humility, in honor and in purity within our marriage relationship to Christ and to our spouse. It is a new day and we do it God’s way, and that is by far the very best way.
