Women of Honour, Influence, Integrity and Strength
God’s plans for us were founded long before we ever came to be and those plans were and are still fully settled in His heart and mind, thought they may not be in ours.
We are not yet what we will be in our latter days, however the seeds, dreams and aspirations to be that person have been instilled and planted deep within us. In that place of becoming we begin to sprout, grow and spread out and sometimes it seems as if we are all over the place. I know in planting flowers some seeds are scattered to make a field of beautiful colourful flowers while other seeds are planted to bring forth one variety. I believe God has both scattered and panted seeds deep within us and I love variety and colour in wild flowers and in life. We are called, and we are called to be different, yet it is our differences that are to complement one another along the way.
During our process of day-to-day living and growing we learn along the way. As we are learning we have lots of trade-ins, giving, letting go of and receiving taking place, sometimes it reminds me of the stock market exchange, no I don’t want that but I’ll have this.
1. We learn how to move out and grow in our place,
2. Unhealthy roots are exchanged for righteous roots,
3. We learn how to trade hate for love,
4. We learn how to receive from and give to God,
5. We trade our “that’s mine” for ok, I will let this go,
6. We learn how to pray for and give to others,
7. We learn how to forgive and release others,
8. We learn how to bless and receive blessings,
9. We learn how to receive peace and let go of strife,
10. We trade our unfaithfulness for His faithfulness.
We trade in our unfruitfulness and we begin to be fruitful and productive.
This is a beautiful process of transition, transformation and preparation for our future and it is not hidden from those around us. We need to remember that our future is not years from now somewhere far off and way down the road. No, our future is effectually our tomorrow. Each day we are in the future of our yesterday. Lets say it this way, what we do on Monday affects Tuesday, as Tuesday is yet to come and is in the future.
Some who are older and wiser see what God is bringing forth in our lives and are honestly delighted in watching it unfold. However some others even within our own family may not be so happy about our becoming who God has called us to be. The fact is change has a way of bring out the good, bad and ugly in all of us even when it is good change. So at those times we need to remember the Potters Wheel and let God mould and shape us into His Beautiful Women of Destiny.
We have all seen the signpost, billboards, posters, and even lapel pins that say, “I’m under construction, or God is still working on me.” This is so true and the end result is well worth is all the suffering as we undergo the process of becoming. Without the process we are left undone and unfruitful and this is not a good place for us to live.
True story; my parents right up until the day of their deaths still said they liked the old me better, now that is truly sad. Why would anyone like the old me better? The old me was sick, dying and needed help. Being full of insecurities, bruised, beaten down and wounded, I became a very angry and bitter person. Because of years of abuse I had years of deep raw wounds on top of wounds. I was a victim, and therefore easy prey as I was dependant on whosoever to pour into me.
Only God could fix me, and He did. Was it easy, No, because I was a fighter who trusted no one, not even God. Yet day-by-day I surrendered myself in prayer to Jesus and finally came to the place of truly knowing that not only was I loved, but also that I was a beautiful woman. God really did turn me around inside and out.
If a woman is not whole and leaning on God for help and healing then we will settle for whatever comes along, and trust me this is seriously dangerous and can open many wrong doors.
You remember the old song, looking for love in all the wrong places, well that is what happens and these are called detours and short cuts.
God did not call us to take detours and short cuts because they lead us down a primrose path getting us off our true course. He will call us to come aside for a while and this is totally different. In coming away with Him for a season He begins the process of plowing our hearts to remove the stones, abuse, wounds, and the hurtful and harmful words that have been deeply buried. They must come to the surface and be dealt with so healing can flood our whole being for only then we will begin to bring forth good fruit in abundance. Then we will go from a victim mentality to one who truly rises up and overcomes.
In becoming the women God has called and the woman we so desire to be we must first apply by putting in practice what we have learned from Him in the secret place, I call these lessons to live by. One of these greatest lessons is allowing Him to heal our wounded emotions so we stop praying that those who hurt us will die. Common women you know what I’m talking about.
As already stated on this road some will rejoice in what is happening and encourage you along the way, while others will not want you to reach your true and full potential in God. Why is this? Well this is something you will find out from God as you journey together for there are many reasons.
What I can and will tell you is: do not let any man or women stand in your way of becoming the woman God has called you to be. You must be determined and willing to venture out and go forth with God.
Today I am here to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and even your insecurities and woundedness and break free from all those who would restrain and hinder you in fulfilling God’s call on your life.
I am calling you to stand up, rise up, step up and move out from that place and step right into your God ordained, anointed and appointed place of destiny because that is His plan for your life, step-by-step, day-by-day.
This process can be long, hard and arduous at times, however the end result is pure gold having been refined in the Refiners fire!
In His calling of you please know that He will never leave you stranded and He will always make provision of what is needed and always at the right time.
There are some of you even now who have those who say God said you are my spiritual daughter, or this or that, yet they never impart to you or speak to your heart, but only want you to pray for their needs, this too is abuse. Just as in the world there is abuse in families it also happens within the church family.
Women of God arise and break free from the spiritual leeches that use and abuse for surely this is not the way of God. If in this spiritual relationship you are the only one giving, well then that should be an eye opener. If it is only a one-way road then get off and find a park bench and wait on God to speak to your heart. His love for you is relentless and He is jealous over you with a godly jealously. Bless those who are now using you and let them go quickly for your own sake, for this is not a healthy relationship.
How do I know this? Ah experience teaches us many lessons if we are willing to see through His eyes. And know this, it is God who will speak into your heart what you are longing to hear years before some come along and say…God said!
Proverbs 31:10-31 Amplified Bible is a beautiful portion of Scripture full of insight, foresight, strength, wisdom and all that we need and it comes from God.
Read this and read it again and again letting it sink deep in your spirit, your heart, your soul, your mind, and your thinking for this is what God has to say about His women.
We are called to be strong, soaring, overcoming, powerful, beautiful, intelligent, those who work and pray, give and receive, buy and sell, we are those who are clothed with strength and dignity and our position is strong and secure, because we are in Him and He is in us!
Listen to me sweetie, Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart, open that door and let Him in quickly. Revelations 3:20 tells us that Jesus stands at our door and knocks on the door then waits for us to answer and open the door to Him.
Stop and just think about this for a while. He already knows the condition of our heart, which is our house. He knows that every room is out of order, chaotic and un-kept. He knows the heart is dark and things are hidden deep down within, and our windows need to be cleaned. He knows the whole heart-house is in great need of restoration. He also knows that provision has already been made to clean the whole heart-house and that He is our Provision.
I’ve heard people say Jesus will clean your clock meaning hit you up side the head, BUT my Jesus is not like that! He is gentle, kind, loving, tender, passionate and full of compassion. He desires to walk us through whatever it is we need to face and deal with and then He lifts us up and holds us tightly. He is the only One who loves us as we are now but refuses to leave us in our poor dying state. Jesus is not an abuser but is loving, tender, kind and gentle with His women. Receive His love and tenderness now. Let His river of love begin to flood your heart and soul and bring you into a place with Him that you never though could be. He is your Prince Charming and your Prince of Peace, He is the One Who loves you and you can fully and completely trust Him.
Proverbs 31:10-31 God’s Women
10 A capable, intelligent, and [b]virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls.
11 The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil.
12 She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her.
13 She seeks out wool and flax and works with willing hands [to develop it].
14 She is like the merchant ships loaded with foodstuffs; she brings her household’s food from a far [country].
15 She rises while it is yet night and gets [spiritual] food for her household and assigns her maids their tasks.
16 She considers a [new] field before she buys or accepts it [expanding prudently and not courting neglect of her present duties by assuming other duties]; with her savings [of time and strength] she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong and firm.
18 She tastes and sees that her gain from work [with and for God] is good; her lamp goes not out, but it burns on continually through the night [of trouble, privation, or sorrow, warning away fear, doubt, and distrust].
19 She lays her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She opens her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her filled hands to the needy [whether in body, mind, or spirit].
21 She fears not the snow for her family, for all her household are doubly clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes for herself coverlets, cushions, and rugs of tapestry. Her clothing is of linen, pure and fine, and of purple [such as that of which the clothing of the priests and the hallowed cloths of the temple were made].
23 Her husband is known in the [city’s] gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes fine linen garments and leads others to buy them; she delivers to the merchants girdles [or sashes that free one up for service].
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future [the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it]!
26 She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction].
27 She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied); and her husband boasts of and praises her, [saying],
29 [c]Many daughters have done virtuously, nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness], but you excel them all.
30 Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]!
